Keith Jones retires as Parx Racing announcer after 34 years
Calling a horse race takes quick identification and knowledge of each of the horses and jockeys with only a brief intermission between races. Keith always wanted to be an announcer, per the Inquirer, he just thought it would be baseball, football or hockey. Though with some big names around Philadelphia handling those sports, replacing them would be quite the task. So Jones simply joined them as long-time announcers.
