Edmonton Oilers: Public Address Announcer (Part-Time Seasonal)
Based on the number of people who left feedback upon the retirement of Lewis this is going to lead to a lot of applicants and if you have 2-5 years of experience as a sports P. A. announcer, they want to hear from you.
Applicants must submit their auditions with resume by September 6 and only those who are selected for a live audition will be contacted. There is a sample script on the website above to help prospective applicants.

August 30, 2016, 7:30 amI did not see this until this morning. I can build a resume upon request; my only PA announcing experience was for the local roller derby team; I was the MC and DJ for one season; even playing pump up music for their practices. References also available upon request!

August 30, 2016, 7:46 amFinal Sidenote; I sent an email about an application; which haven’t seen an opening for; I would also like to DJ. I already have playlists, and songs I could write themes for for all homegames!

August 30, 2016, 8:52 amRyan, please apply to the link on the website. NHL teams have their own DJs who play the music in-game as their shows are more in depth by positions and creates an opportunity for fewer mistakes during the games.
Good luck in your submission, it’s going to be a very popular opening.

September 3, 2016, 12:54 amThis was just shared with me an hour ago. I have 6 years experience being the p.a announcer for my sons teams they play in zone 1 for high praire minor hockey. I was the p.a announcer for high prairie last year for the Alberta bantam provincials. I can send resume and make a tape. It would be amazing to follow the great Mark Lewis.

September 3, 2016, 11:02 amShone, it’s great to meet another hockey announcer. Make sure to send all information to the Edmonton Oilers through the link in the article. The auditions are going to get a lot of people submitting and you never know who is going to get it. Give it a shot and best of luck!
